You can remove the menubar (with global menubar for example), and titlebars (I'm using present windows for closing or gesture), to have even more tiling space KDE is great but still needs a lot of polish.
Well, global menubar cleans space nicely, and you can set it to autohide,(I have all panels set to autohide, because I'm mad about conserving space for content, and when something wants your attention it jumps out anyway ) Gestures unfortunately, especially global ones, like for closing are iffy at best.
